Brand Overview

Carrillo is the connecting-rod division of CP-Carrillo, an American manufacturer specializing in forged pistons, connecting rods and related internal engine components for high-performance and motorsport applications. Carrillo Industries was founded by Fred Carrillo in 1963 with a focus on uncompromising connecting-rod design and manufacturing. CP Pistons was established in 1998, and the two companies were brought together in 2008 when CP acquired Carrillo through Pankl Racing Systems. Today, products may be labeled Carrillo, CP Pistons or CP-Carrillo, but they are part of the same performance-engine component manufacturer.

For Nissan Skyline GT-R and Nissan GT-R engine builds, CP-Carrillo produces forged pistons and Carrillo connecting rods for high-performance turbocharged applications. These components are used in RB26DETT builds for the R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-R, along with VR38DETT builds for the R35 GT-R. Carrillo rods are available in multiple beam configurations and are fully machined, weight-matched, Magnaflux inspected and manufactured in the United States. CP pistons are available in different bore sizes, compression ratios and construction levels, including heavy-duty options intended for extremely high cylinder pressures. Whether building a responsive street engine, reinforced RB26 or high-horsepower VR38, CP-Carrillo components give engine builders precision internal parts that can be selected around the engine’s displacement, boost level, RPM range and intended use.

Warranty Information

Due to the demanding and highly variable nature of performance-engine applications, CP-Carrillo does not provide a conventional fixed-duration warranty for its pistons, Carrillo connecting rods or related performance components. Its official terms state that CP-Carrillo products are sold without an expressed or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Any possible product defect or manufacturing concern must be reviewed individually by CP-Carrillo. To request assistance, contact Elite GT-R Parts with:

  • Your order number and CP-Carrillo part number
  • A detailed description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the product

Do not install, modify, machine, disassemble or return a questionable component before receiving instructions. CP-Carrillo does not accept responsibility for engine damage, labor, vehicle downtime, lost revenue or other incidental or consequential expenses resulting from the installation or use of its products. Any inspection, assistance or available resolution is determined by CP-Carrillo after reviewing the component and circumstances.
