For Nissan Skyline GT-R and R35 GT-R engine builds, Cometic offers sealing components for both the RB26DETT and VR38DETT. Available RB26 products include MLS head gaskets in several bore sizes and compressed thicknesses, top-end and bottom-end gasket kits, intake-manifold gaskets, exhaust-manifold gaskets and throttle-body gaskets. VR38 options include left- and right-side MLX cylinder-head gaskets with multiple bore and thickness choices for standard and enlarged-bore engines. Cometic’s multi-layer head gaskets use embossed stainless-steel layers and specialized coatings to distribute sealing load around the combustion chambers. Because bore size, compressed thickness and surface preparation can affect fitment and compression, each gasket should be selected around the engine’s exact machining and build specifications.
