Magnus Motorsports GTR R35 Dry Sump Kit

The OEM oiling system on the R35 GT-R is surprisingly good, but as is the case with most stock components, there becomes a point at which it’s a liability. As power, RPM, and G-forces increase, the need for a better oiling system arises, which is where the Magnus Dry Sump Kit comes in. The dry sump system dramatically increases oil pressure and oil volume, while eliminating a great deal of aeration that the OEM system begins producing under extreme conditions.

OE manufacturers and race teams know the critical importance of a steady oil supply, which is why dry sump systems are found in all modern exotics and will be found in all professional automotive racing series. It’s well known by the engineers behind these projects that as G-forces increase, it becomes harder to keep the oil at the oil pump pickup. With a dry sump system’s remote-mounted tank, the gross majority of oil is contained within the tank, thus keeping a steady supply of oil to the pump, instead of scattered throughout the engine.

Magnus has designed the R35 kit alongside Peterson Fluid Systems, which is recognized worldwide for its dry sump system components. The standard kit includes the Peterson four-stage pump, Peterson tank, Magnus oil pan, and all drive pulleys/accessories to install on your VR38. BMRS line kits are available separately, or you can choose to plumb your own to suit your specific application.
