Description

The Radium Engineering 20-0557 Coolant Tank Kit is a direct-fit aluminum replacement for the factory plastic expansion tank on the Nissan R35 GT-R. Designed to withstand repeated heat cycling in demanding street and motorsport environments, the rugged two-piece tank is CNC-machined from aluminum and anodized for long-term corrosion resistance. Its internal dual-chamber design, crossover passages, and integrated swirl feature help de-aerate the cooling system while maintaining OEM-style functionality. The compact design also creates additional engine bay space and improves access for maintenance without requiring permanent vehicle modifications.

Key Features

Direct OEM Replacement: Replaces the factory plastic coolant expansion tank without permanent vehicle modifications

Billet Aluminum Construction: Two-piece CNC-machined aluminum design offers improved strength and durability

Improved Heat Management: Aluminum construction provides superior thermal conductivity compared with plastic

Dual-Chamber Internal Design: Crossover passages at the top and bottom support consistent coolant circulation

Integrated Swirl Feature: Helps separate trapped air from the coolant for improved system de-aeration

Compact Engine Bay Fitment: Reduced tank size creates more room for modifications and easier engine access

Factory-Line Compatibility: Supplied adapter fittings connect to the original cooling system lines

Street and Race Ready: Robust metal construction is suitable for performance street and motorsport applications

Pressure Cap Options: Reuses the OEM Nissan cap or accepts compatible Radium Engineering Type-A caps

Radium Engineering is an American performance-parts manufacturer specializing in advanced fuel-delivery, crankcase-ventilation and fluid-management components. Owner-operated and based in Clackamas, Oregon, Radium has developed automotive products since 2010 using in-house research, computer simulation, 3D modeling and extensive product testing. Its catalog includes fuel rails, fuel-pressure regulators, fuel-pump hangers, surge tanks, fuel cells, filters, catch cans, air-oil separators, coolant tanks, fittings and complete vehicle-specific fuel systems. Radium products are developed for performance street cars and motorsport applications, with an emphasis on functionality, precise fitment and clean visual design.

For Nissan Skyline GT-R and R35 GT-R builds, Radium offers dedicated components for the RB26DETT and VR38DETT platforms. Its Skyline catalog includes RB26 fuel rails, catch-can kits, fuel-pump hangers, surge-tank systems and complete fuel-delivery packages for the R32, R33 and R34 GT-R. R35 products include fuel rails, pump hangers, fuel-filter mounts, complete fuel-delivery systems, catch cans, coolant tanks, fuel-line retainers and GR6 transmission filters. These products give GT-R builders options ranging from a simple engine-bay upgrade to a complete high-flow fuel system for gasoline, ethanol or other compatible racing fuels. Exact pump compatibility, vehicle configuration and installation requirements should be confirmed for each product before ordering.
