Wiseco is an American performance-engine component manufacturer best known for its forged pistons. Founded in 1941 by Clyde Wiseman, the company grew from a small racing-focused operation into a major manufacturer serving automotive, motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, personal-watercraft and marine applications. Wiseco manufactures automotive pistons in Mentor, Ohio, using in-house engineering, forging and CNC-machining capabilities. Its automotive lineup includes Pro Tru Street, Professional and RED Series pistons, along with piston rings, wrist pins and supporting engine-building components for street-performance and racing applications.

For Nissan Skyline GT-R and Nissan GT-R engine builds, Wiseco offers forged piston sets for the RB26DETT and VR38DETT engines. Available configurations vary by bore size, compression height, piston volume and intended power level, allowing an engine builder to select components around the block machining, compression ratio, boost pressure and overall build specifications. Select Professional Series pistons use 2618 forged aluminum, precision-machined ring grooves, reinforced crown features, forced wrist-pin oiling and friction-reducing skirt coatings for demanding turbocharged applications. Whether rebuilding an RB26-powered R32, R33 or R34 Skyline GT-R or strengthening the VR38 in an R35 GT-R, Wiseco provides application-specific forged pistons intended for professionally measured and assembled performance engines.

Wiseco’s general published warranty states that its products are covered against defects in materials or workmanship for 30 days from the original purchase date. An approved claim is limited to repair or replacement of the defective Wiseco product.

Wiseco’s automotive piston instructions also contain additional performance-product disclaimers. Because piston operation depends heavily on machining, clearances, engine assembly, tuning, fuel selection and operating conditions, Wiseco does not cover engine damage, labor, lost revenue or other incidental or consequential expenses. Customers must inspect and measure all pistons before installation and follow the specifications supplied with the piston set.
